Program Overview

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment or advanced training in a variety of construction electrical industries. Specialized classroom instruction and hands-on practical application trains the student in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment such as motors, motor controls, and power and lighting systems in residential, commercial, as well as some industrial applications. The student will receive training on a wide variety of hand and power tools, construction and electrical safety, extensive study of electrical theory and applying the National Electrical Code (NEC) to Residential and Commercial wiring, a wide variety of electrical test equipment, conduit threading and bending, and wire pulling and installation.

Program Admission Requirements

AGE: 16 years or older

BASIC SKILLS LEVEL: Computations (Math) 9.0 & Communications (Reading & Language Arts) 9.0
